Reporting a wrong date or error

A decoded date that doesn't match your records helps us more than anything. Please include:

• The brand, model number and serial number.
• The date you believe is right, and how you know it (a date on the rating plate, a receipt, the manufacturer).
• The page address, if you're reporting an error on a page.

We check the claim against the source, fix it, and record the change in our update log.

We can't give repair advice for a specific appliance, or tell you whether a particular unit is safe. For that, contact the manufacturer or a licensed technician.
